White Horse Inn Again

Why do men hate going to church? Because it's all about fuzzy-wuzzy feelings and singing about Jesus as if He is your girlfriend! If you don't believe me, look at your own congregation and count them! Listen to this for more.

(The movie to the left is the best Western ever made, by the way. Don't talk to me about Pale Rider, Tombstone, The Outlaw Josey Wales, or Open Range until you've seen it.)

There is a great book called "Why men hate going to church" I highly recommend it!

This is so true! So when are you going to start the "Church of the Eveready Hunter"? We can park our pickups out back with our guns in the rear window. Instead of an after service coffee corner, we'll all head out into the field and bag us some ducks!

Now, that's an after-church activity that everyone can agree on ;-)

Lonesome Dove, also made for TV, is about ten times better. Sam Elliott always plays a great cowboy, but the plot of this thing is ridiculous.

Not to even mention:
The Searchers
She Wore a Yellow Ribbon
Fort Apache
Red River
et cetera

Lonesome Dove was good, but I still have to go with Conagher.

It has the greatest line in cinematic history: "Just lie there and be glad you ain't gut shot."
